Architect Roza Matveeva founded CULTURAxRMM in 2019, transforming a long-nurtured side project—sculpting abstract structures from ultra-thin steel bands—into a product venture. The company is developing this conceptual work into The INTROVERTS Suite, a collection of functional luminaires that merge art, structural principles, and industrial design.
The pilot drop – INTROVERT 145_5 REFLECTOR – launched in late 2021, following an intensive 2-year prototyping period that articulated core systems, production techniques, and supply chain for all lamps in the family. The debut model and its smaller, truncated sequel - INTROVERT 145_5 REFLECTOR S - have since been continuously updated with new editions.
Seven more INTROVERTS are planned for consecutive release over a few years, with progressive complexity of geometry and construction.
Love for the lyricism and rigor of making, attention to detail across scales, and analytical management define Roza as a designer. She is fascinated with industry and technology as much as she believes designers must never cease to confront material by shaping it with their hands.
An effort in the name of effortless beauty, CULTURAxRMM is dedicated to conceptual clarity, meticulous prototyping, and superb fabrication. The company motto – YOU CAN BE UNAPOLOGETIC WHEN YOU ARE PRECISE – spells out an aesthetic pursuit unrestrained by style and derived from methodical invention. The INTROVERTS Suite aspires to be a body of work with an air of timelessness, glamour, abstraction, and mystery.
